A special thanks goes out to all the volunteers that made the Bear A Bar benefit pig roast event and the motorcycle run a huge success!  Thanks also goes out to all those who came.  This town is blessed with many wonderful people.
The Spaghetti Dinner Benefit for Angela Short, has been rescheduled for October 6th due to a previously planned fundraiser.  More information will be available in September.
The Covington United Methodist Church, across from the Covington Community Center, is having a Chicken BBQ & craft fair on Sat., July 21st from 10-4pm.  Entertainment by "Spare Parts Dixieland Band" will play at 1pm.  There will also be face-painting and other vendors.  All are welcome. 
This Sun., July 22nd the Blossburg Memorial Library Garden Party will be held at the Hamilton Club in Morris Run, from 1 to 4pm.  There will be a silent auction sponsored by The Friends of the library, great food, garden tours and the Wellsboro's "Acting Out" theatrical group will entertain you.  Tickets are $30 per couple and $20 for singles.  Get your tickets at the library or at the event.  The garden party is sponsored by the library board of directors for the benefit of the library.  Contact Lida at 638-2295 if you have questions.
Remember there will be a 5K race to help support the Island Park Swimming Pool on Sat., Aug. 4th.  Registration will is at 7:45 and the race will start at 9:00 am.  Registration fee is $15.00 and forms are available at the Borough office or online.
