ANNOUNCEMENTS:

The Panther's Varsity team will play at home against Troy on Sept.15 at 7pm. J.V. will play at Troy on Sept.18 at 6pm. Junior High plays at home against Towanda Sept.20th at 4:30pm. The STYF Screamin' Eagles will play at home against Cowanesque Valley on Sept. 16 at 4pm starting with the Flag team.

There will be a Chicken BBQ and bake sale at the Bloss Holiday Mkt. on Sat., Sept. 16 to benefit Southern Tioga Youth Football.

The TCCCC in concert with the Hillside Rod and Gun Club is sponsoring it's 4th annual LOBSTER BAKE on Sept.16. Serving times are 1pm and 3pm. Tickets are available through Hillside or any TCCCC member.

Blossburg V.I.B.E. will hold their monthly meeting on Wed., Sept.20 at 6pm in the community room of the Blossburg Memorial Library. If you work, live, play or attend school in Blossburg, you are invited to become part of this organization. For more info., visit www.blossburg.org/vibe.

The Blue and White Music Booster Club will start their monthly meetings on Sept. 18 at 7pm in the N.P.H.S. library. The monthly meetings will continue on the 3rd Monday of each month at 7pm. Volunteers are needed to promote the school music program.

Fifteen people are needed to start a weekly Weight Watcher's meeting in Blossburg. The meetings will be held on Wednesday's at The First United Methodist Church. Anyone is welcome to join. To sign up, or for more info., contact Laura Miller at 638-2334 or Amy Augustine at 638-3597.

The First United Methodist Church of Blossburg has resumed their monthly MOM's Group meeting. All mother's of young children are welcome to attend. For more info., contact Beth at 638-2008.

Mark your calander:

The annual "Octoberfest" which is sponsored by the Coal Festival Committee will be held on the downtown square on Saturday, October 14th. Any organization will not be charged for their space for a fundraising booth. The festivities will be held from 11am-5pm. In order to reserve a space, call 638-0274 or 638-3313. This celebration is usually held the weekend of Homecoming but the date had to be changed due to the pumpkin harvest.

REMINDERS:

A food pantry is held the 3rd Monday each month from 10am-12pm and 6pm-8pm at The First United Methodist Church of Blossburg. For more information, contact Betty Johnson at (570)638-2805.

The Farmer's Market is at the Blossburg Plaza every Sat., 8 a.m.- 1p.m., rain or shine. New vendors are welcome. For information, contact Tonya at mcnamara@epix.net.

T.O.P.S. (Take off Pounds Sensibly) meets every Monday at the First United Methodist Church of Blossburg. Weigh-in is at 5 p.m.

Blossburg BINGO! Every Monday bingo is held at St. Mary's Hall, 6:30pm and every Wednesday at the fire & ambulance building, 6:30pm
