Come on down and get a taste of summer! While you’re there, stop by and see the fresh food and other items offered at the Farmer’s Market. Vendors offer some of the area’s best deals each Saturday morning from 8:00 to 1:00 at Riverside Plaza (Blossburg’s Main Street shopping plaza).

It’s time to “Be Creative @ Your Library.” This summer reading program begins June 16 in the Blossburg library at 10:00 AM. Each week, a new exciting topic will be presented. The Blossburg library has gained a new staff member. Brian McClure, from Covington, will be serving as a volunteer Library Assistant beginning in August. On Tuesday, June 16, there will be a general membership meeting of the TCCCC (Tioga County Concerned Citizens Committee). This meeting will be held in the Kiwanis Building at Island Park, beginning at 7:00 PM. TCCCC is an organization that cares about our local environment, and works to maintain and improve the beauty of Tioga County. The organization has 250 individual members and 35 business/civic organization members. Currently, they are utilizing a $295,000 grant from Pennsylvania’s Growing Greener Fund to correct the acid mine drainage that has polluted Fall Brook. You can become a member of TCCCC by completing a membership application at the meeting at paying the $5.00 membership fee. This fee helps pay for newsletters, educational programs, etc. A membership form can also be downloaded from www.tcccc-inc.org. Join today, and become part of the effort to keep Tioga County beautiful and healthy!

The First Baptist Church of Blossburg will be hosting “SonRock Kids Camp” Vacation Bible School, June 21-25, from 6:00 until 8:30 each evening.
