Happy belated birthday to Karen Jones Schultz of Granger Street, who celebrated on November 30.

The next meeting of the Southern Tioga School District Board of Education will be on December 7 from 6:30–8:00pm at the Mansfield High School Library. Because the board is considering the closure of North Penn High School, many residents of the District have been attending these meetings to remain informed about the issue. The VIBE website has a link to help you write a letter to the school board. Visit blossburg.org/SOS to see what you can do to help the effort to Save Our Schools.

The VIBE "Light Up the Holidays" Christmas decorating contest has begun! Decorate your Blossburg storefront or home for a chance to win one of several categories of prizes. Looking for a one-of-a-kind Christmas event? Come to "A Night in Bethlehem" at the Blossburg Library on December 13, from 6:00-8:00pm. The library will be transformed into the village of Bethlehem, with interactive sites indoors and out. Your friends and neighbors will become townspeople who will help you make crafts and take part in other activities. Visit places such as the blacksmith shop, the bakery, and the stable (of course). Arrive whenever you like, but plan at least 45 minutes to see everything!
